Curator, jewellery designer, photographer: Thereza Pedrosa was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) in 1985. She grew up with the family in the charming town of Bassano del Grappa (Italy) and graduated in Conservation of Cultural Goods at the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. Currently living in Lausanne (Switzerland), she is further exploring the world of the Contemporary Arts around Lake Geneva while actively partecipating in curatorial projects in Italy.
Her most important curatorial coordination is for the exhibition “Revealing Papers. The Hidden Treasures of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection” (september 18th 2011 – january 15th 2012 at the Lucca Center of Contemporary Art).
Thereza is the founder and editor of the online magazine “Beautiful People Live Art“, founded in July 2012, which explores many fields of contemporary art through articles and interviews.
Also creatively engaged as jewellery designer, her jewels are appealing to a joung and dynamic public, and successfully conjugate the elegance of traditional forms and the needs of modern life. She loves to work with gold, silver, aluminium and among her favourite stones you can count pearls, corals, turquoises and black onyxes. Her jewels can be found in Venice at “Oh My Blue” and in Turin at “Semi d’Arte“. She took part in several collective contemporary jewellery exhibitions organized by “GioielloDentro“: White, 16 jewels for Jacopo Bassano, Art in the city, Gioiellodentro. From 2012 she is a member of the association “Artisans-Createurs” of Lausanne, participating to “Quartier d’été” exhibitions at the Forum of the Hôtel de Ville.
Her passion for the visual arts extends to photography and portraits in particular. She has worked for several years with the magazine “Blu”. Some of her portraits have been published in the work of Mexican poet Jaime Abraham “Buluc Eb Poetry Random Playlist – Anti-Poemario.”
